We have just been informed that due to the amount of rain already on the course as well as the storms happening and predicted to continue, the state sand greens golf tournament in Cottonwood Falls has been moved from TUESDAY MAY 27th to WEDNESDAY MAY 28th. There will be a shotgun start at 9am at Cottonwood Falls Country Club on Wednesday May 28th

The Riley County baseball team finished their season in the second round of regionals with a loss to Silver Lake 7-1.




We want to send out a shout out for the state golf team. They will be competing at Chase County in the 1A sand green state on Tuesday, May 27th.

The Riley County softball team ended their season tonight at the 3A regional tournament with a win over Osage City 8-1 and a loss to Silver Lake 11-0.

The boys baseball team played a great game against Southeast of Saline winning 8-4 in the first round of regionals. They will be back in action on May 21st in Silver Lake for the second round at 3:30 PM.

Congratulations, Jace Woodard, for being the May RCHS/Glavan Ford Student-Athlete of the Month! Jace is the son of Jesse and Danelle Woodard. He has played Football, Basketball, and Track and has been a member of the NHS, Key Club, SADD, and FCA. Jace plans to attend Kansas State University to study Engineering next year.
Coaches quote: “Jace has worked extremely hard to return and compete at a high level 6 months after ACL surgery winning the triple jump 2 out of the 3 meets he has participated in and placing 2nd in the other.” Jesse Woodard RCHS Track Coach.


Congratulations to the RCHS Student of the Month for March, Annelise Yoder.
Annelise, 12th Grade, has a cumulative GPA of 4.0 and is a member of the Choir, Theater, Key Club, Pep Club, Tri-M, NHS, STUCO, and a manager for the girls’ basketball team.
Here is what Mr. Magana has to say about Annelise:
Annelise has been a student I have been able to go to throughout her senior year. She constantly checks in, and makes sure things are being taken care of and offering her help no matter what the task. She has a positive attitude, and is always giving others compliments and bringing people up.!”

Today, the students celebrated our senior graduating class with a senior signing event. The senior seminar teachers presented each senior and their plans for the future. Graduation will be this Saturday (May 17th) at RCHS. Go Falcons!





Falcon fans, we have another team league champion! At the conclusion of the 7th grade Big East League Track Meet at Royal Valley, 7th grade boys are Big East League Champs! 7th grade girls also take 2nd. Our 7th grade teams also had a very good day in Hoyt. Awesome job Falcons!
