
RCHS FFA members got the opportunity to tour Neosho Gardens in Council Grove. Members learned about technology used in the Greenhouse Industry. The business has over 600,000 square feet of greenhouse space and grows around 8 million plants a year.

The RCHS Chess Team finished in 2nd place today at the Lawrence Thanksgiving Chess Tournament!

The Culinary Arts class completed their annual Food Trucks today! The students developed a business plan, advertised, grocery shopped, designed and created their “trucks” all leading up to today’s event. The groups were open for both lunches and students could purchase food.

The RCHS Key Club will be selling Thankful Turkeys this week during lunch for $2. Stop by to send a Thankfulness Gram to any student or staff member in the district!


The RCHS Chess Team took 2nd place at the Washburn Rural Chess Tournament in Topeka today!


Congratulations to Senior Maddie Belle Davis for earning All Mid-East League Volleyball Honors!



The RCHS Key Club is sponsoring Kindness Cards! Students and staff can submit and recognize acts of kindness they have witnessed in our school. Once you witness an act fill out the cards placed around school for that person to be entered in to weekly drawings!

The RCHS SADD Club hosted a blood drive at the high school today! They had 12 donors who were able to donate, which will be used to save 36 lives!!


It's election day! Our third graders are hosting today's election at RCGS. On today's ballot: salty vs. sweet, wavy chips vs thin chips, and chocolate chip cookies vs oreos. Great work Falcons!





Congratulations to our RCGS Middle Level Honor Choir students who participated in the NCKMEA Choir Clinic on Saturday, November 4. They sang beautifully and represented Riley County well! Great work Falcons!




Congratulations to Dawson Dickerson, Jack Kelly, and Makayla Machin who were selected for the North Central KMEA Honor Choir! They will participate in the KMEA Clinic and Concert on December 2nd at Manhattan High!


Congratulations to Ryan Greathouse and Claire Anderson who were selected for the North Central KMEA Honor Band! Claire earned 12th chair clarinet and Ryan earned 2nd chair bass clarinet. They will participate in the KMEA Clinic and Concert on December 2nd at Manhattan High.


Our RCMS Leadership class sent their donation over to the Northern Riley County Food Pantry today. Mr. Maynard and his students donated over 1500 items today. Great work Falcons!








Congratulations to RCHS FACS Teacher, Megan Steiner! Mrs. Steiner was named the VFW Post 1786 National Citizenship Education Teacher of the Year! Mrs. Steiner is now a District finalist. This award is based on citizenship, innovation, resources, and passion in the classroom!
