The RCHS Girls Basketball team beat Nemaha Central tonight 46-41 to punch their ticket to the Class 3A State Tournament next week! The Falcons head to Hutch with a record of 16-7! Tournament info to be announced!
The RCHS Girls Basketball team beat Atchison County tonight 39-36. The Falcons advance to the Sub-State Championship game on Saturday at 5:30pm! They will take on the winner of the Nemaha Central and Hiawatha game. Good Luck Falcons!

Congratulations to the RCHS Student of the Month for February, Gus Smith! Gus, a Senior, has a cumulative GPA of 3.1 and participates in FFA, Band, Golf, and Trap Shooting. Gus also serves as a Student Aide in the Ag and Wood Shops. Here is what Ms. Netterman had to say: "There is never a dull moment with Gus in my class! He consistently makes our learning environment an upbeat and positive place to be. His willingness to help others, both faculty and staff, is consistent and unmatched! Gus is strong willed and passionate about the activities and clubs he is involved in." Ms. Meadows also added: "Gus is always hardworking and always willing to help others. He takes pride in his work and making RCHS a better place. He is kind, respectful, trustworthy, and has a great sense of humor. Gus is not in any of my art classes but he comes in to work and learn "art" to apply to his projects in other subjects. He even helped me with my car when the weather was bad. He does a lot for others even when he doesn't have to!" Congratulations Gus!
RCHS FFA Member Jacob Wendland interviewed for a North Central District FFA Office today. Jacob placed in the top ten and will advance to the final interview round next month. For the next round he will present a speech and answer questions in front of the North Central District Delegates. Congratulations Jacob!
The RCHS Girls Basketball Team will travel to Marysville tomorrow night for Sub-State Semifinals. The Falcons will take on Atchison County at 6pm. KSHSAA prices will be $8 Adults $6 Students. Good Luck Falcons!
The RCHS Boys Basketball Team traveled to Atchison County tonight for the opening round of Sub-State play. The Falcons fall to the Tigers 45-55.
The RCHS Girls Basketball team beat Sabetha tonight 26-24 to advance to the semifinals of Sub-State. The Falcons will play Atchison County at Marysville on Thursday. Game time to be announced!
RCHS would like to thank and recognize Mr. Clint Hafliger who worked this evening's Sub-State game. After this season Clint will hang up his whistle after 30 years of officiating high school basketball. Thank you for your service to Kansas schools!
This week RCHS FFA has participated in a Chapter Exchange with Blue Valley. Jacob Wendland and Cody Sharp visited BVHS and helped with their community pancake feed. Two members from Blue Valley attended RCHS yesterday and assisted with the student and staff hamburger feed!
To end National FFA week the RCHS Chapter hosted RCGS students at their annual Petting Zoo today!
RCHS Basketball hosted St.Marys tonight. C Team Boys, JV Girls, and Varsity Girls all picked up a win. JV Boys and Varsity Boys fall to the Bears on Senior Night. Girls Basketball will host Sabetha on Monday at 6pm and the Boys will play at Atchison County on Tuesday at 6pm!

The RCHS Boys Wrestling team competed this weekend at the 321A Regional Wrestling Tournament in Beloit. In a tough Regional, the Falcons finished in 16th place as a team! Congratulations on a great season!
