After a great day of hosting the Big East League girls wrestling tourney at home, Ellie Hanson takes home a league championship at 155, Alaina Rose takes 4th at 127, Jayde Mongeau takes 3rd at 120, and Reagan Wege takes 2nd at 110. Way to go Falcons! Thank you to our parents for your support this season!, and Coach Thelwell and Coach England for working with our girls. The future is bright for Riley County Girls Wrestling!
Falcons fans, your 7th grade boys basketball team is Big East League Champions, taking down Sabetha 44-16 in the league championship! 8th grade finishes 4th in a very, very tough bracket. A special thank you to our parents for your support, and especially Coach Farwell, Garver, and White for their hard work this season. Way to go Falcons!

Some shots of the BEL tournament today. 8th and 7th both had big wins in the first round, and will advance to Monday. 8th will take on St. Mary’s at 4:30 in the elementary gym at Royal Valley, 7th will take on Nemaha Central in the main gym in Rossville. Let’s go Falcons!!!
Congratulations to the RCHS Chess Team for their 5th place finish at the Rockhurst Chess Tournament in Kansas City today. Go Falcons!
Riley County forensics competed at its first meet of the season at Rock Creek today. Drake Otto made it to finals and earned 4th place in Impromptu Speech. Drake Otto and Rylan Bramhall also made finals in Improvised Duet Acting and came in 2nd place, qualifying them for State Champs in May! Great kickoff to the season!
