Today, RCHS Junior and Senior students participated in a career fair. Seniors also were engaged in Apply Kansas and a College application workshop. Thank you to Ms. Scott, Ms. Whitesell, and Ms. Netterman for organizing the event and thanks to all our visitors for their time.

The JV VB girls defeated Sabetha JV 25-17 10-25 19-25.
USD 378 Board of Education will hold a special meeting on Wednesday, October 9, 2024 at 7:45am at the District Office. The agenda for the meeting is available on the website under Documents>District>Board of Education.
The JV FB Team came out and played hard in the second half. Final score was 29-8

The Lady Falcon's JV VB Team had a great day at Abilene by taking 3rd place finishing , 3-2 on the day!
The Lady Falcons ended the day strong with a win over Smith Center 25-22 25-23 25-15
The Lady Falcons played a great third round against Minneapolis but came up short losing 25-21 20-25 25-21
The girls fought hard but fell to Nemaha Central in the second round 25-15 25-15
The Lady Falcons VB team played hard but lost to Concordia 0-2 in the first round.

Riley County High School Cross Country had a great afternoon at Canning Creek Cove in Council Grove competing against area schools in a 5K race. The varsity girls took home first place and our boys came in third as a team.
Individually, we had four girls finish top 20. Out of 56 entries, Anna Lambert placed 8th, Meredith Baumann placed 10th, Claire Anderson placed 14th, Belle Hancock placed 19th, Mikaila Frese placed 24th, and Jordyn Gutsch placed 30th.
On the boys side, we had two place in the top 20. Out of 79 runners, Jeter Adams placed 6th, Kaden Gutsch placed 14th, Dash Hancock placed 27th, Cyrus England placed 42nd, Mavrick Winter placed 54th, Cooper Merriam placed 57th, and Sam Frese rounded out the varsity squad with 68th place.
While we didn’t have a full team for the JV boys, Simon Baumann and Brett Laurie represented us well. Simon placed 28th, and Brett finished in 39th, out of a total of 55 runners.
We had a great day for middle school athletics! Cross country had a strong showing at league across the board, with the highest placer being Caden Kinsey taking 3rd in the 7th grade boys division. The day was polished off with a win against Nemaha Central from 7a, 8b, and 8a volleyball and MS football beat NC 8-6. Way to go Falcons!
