The RCHS Band performed today at the High Plains Marching Festival at Fort Hays State. The Marching Falcons competed with their performance of Living in the Danger Zone!

RCHS Volleyball competed at Sub-State in Minneapolis today. The Falcons fall to Beloit in the first round.
The RCHS Girls Cross Country team took 1st place at Regionals today! The team punched their ticket to the 3A State Meet next Saturday in Lawrence. Owen Miesner placed 7th in the boys race and individually qualified for the State Meet. Congratulations Falcons!

RCHS Football traveled to Minneapolis tonight. The Lions beat the Falcons 21-6. The Falcons will travel to Silver Lake next Friday to take on the Eagles. Kickoff at 7pm!
The RCHS Choir held their Fall Concert this evening. Songs were performed by the Concert Choir Trebles, Concert Choir Tenor/Basses, and Rhythm N Blue!
RCHS Volleyball traveled to Wabaunsee tonight. Varsity went 1-1 and JV went 0-2. The Falcons will compete this Saturday in Sub-State at Minneapolis. Brackets will be announced later this week.
During the month of October staff members at RCHS participated in a door decorating contest to promote the Apply Kansas College Kickoff. Staff decorated their doors promoting their Alma Mater. Ms. Meadows won earning 1st Place, followed by Mrs. Lloyd in 2nd Place, and a tie for third between Ms. Pickering, Ms. Perry, and Ms. Kachelhoffer!
JV Football traveled to Nemaha Central tonight. The Thunder beat the Falcons 47-0. The Falcons will play next Monday night at Hal Prichard Stadium at 6pm!
On Homecoming and Senior Night the Falcons fall to Nemaha Central 34-12. The Senior Class won the dress up competition and float contest! CJ Rignell and Lukas Kulp were named Homecoming King & Queen.
The RCHS Homecoming Parade was a success! Class Float winners will be announced tonight at the game. The Falcons will kickoff against Nemaha Central at 7pm at Hal Prichard Stadium!
Student Council hosted Class Olympics today as part of our homecoming festivities! The Freshman Class placed 4th, Sophomore Class placed 3rd, Seniors took 2nd, and the Junior Class won Gold!
Middle School Cross Country had a great day at the league meet in Silver Lake! Jeter Adams took the 8th grade boys win and overall fastest time with a time of 12:47, and Dash Hancock took the 7th grade boys win and second overall fastest time with a time of 12:55. Mikey Silva also took 3rd in 8th grade boys with a time of 13:25. What a fun group of kids, great season Falcons!
The RCHS Girls Cross Country team won the Mid-East League Meet today and the Boys team finished 4th! Owen Miesner is the Mid-East League Boys Champion with a time of 17:14. Riley County will host the 3A Regional Meet on Saturday, October 22nd in Leonardville!
RCHS FFA members packed up 105 snack bags for local farmers that were delivered to the Leonardville Co-Op today. FFA members wanted to give back to farmers as a thank you for everything they do.
Josh Sauer, an admissions representative from the Missouri Welding Institute, presented to the RCHS Ag Leadership class today! Students learned about careers in welding and post-secondary opportunities available to them after high school.
Spirit Week is in full swing at RCHS! For Squad Day, Gru and the Minions are ready for a great day. This Friday the Homecoming Parade and Pep Rally will be at 2pm in Riley. The Falcons will take on the Nemaha Central Thunder at 7pm!
Volleyball competed at St.Marys tonight. C Team and JV went 2-0 and Varsity went 0-2. The Falcons will travel next Tuesday to Wabaunsee to take on the Chargers!
JV Football traveled to Chapman tonight. The Irish won 52-0.
