RCHS Basketball hosted the Silver Lake Eagles tonight in Mid-East League Action. JV Girls, JV Boys, C Team Boys, Varsity Girls, and Varsity Boys all fall to the Eagles. The Falcons will travel to Clay Center on Tuesday to take on the Tigers. Tip off at 4:30!
The Mid East League JH Girls Basketball Tournament schedule has been set for Tomorrow! Our JH girls come in with a 2 seed in 7th grade and will play at 10:00 against Rossville, and 1:00 against Wabaunsee. 8th grade will come in as a 4 seed and play at 11:00 against St. Marys, and 1:00 against Silver Lake. Times are subject to differentiate based on the progression of play through the day. Lets go Falcons!
FFA members traveled to Wilson, KS today to compete in a Milk Quality Contest. Members identified dairy products, different cheeses, and alternative milk flavors. The Greenhand Team took 4th place out of 16 teams. Gio Herrera-Tiritilli placed 4th and Martin Loecker placed 16th.
The Riley County High School Jazz Band and Rhythm n Blue Choir performed at local nursing homes and at RCGS today to spread some holiday cheer! Students had a great time caroling!

The RCHS Chemistry class conducted a Gas Demonstration today with balloons and aluminum cans. Students got to explore what happens with temperature and pressure change!

RCHS Wrestling hosted their home invitational tournament today. The Falcons competed hard in their first tournament of the season!

Congratulations to the RCHS Student of the Month for November, Emma Hoke! Emma, a senior, has a cumulative GPA of 3.78, is a member of the Art Club, Pep Club, Science Club, FCCLA, and SADD. She also participates in volleyball and basketball. Here is what Mr. Woodard had to say: “Emma is constantly displaying a positive attitude, her school spirit goes way above and beyond any student that I have had and she is always willing to lend a helping hand. She just has a great all around attitude and is a joy to be around!” Congratulations Emma!
