At the end of this teacher appreciation week, we would like to take a minute to thank all educators everywhere, but especially those here at Riley County. Thank you all so much for the time and work you put in, and commitment to our kids and community!

The Riley County Golf team hosted its JV/Varsity Tournament on 5/8/25. However, lightning cut the tournament short. Below is a link to photos taken by one of our students.

On senior night the baseball team won 12-5 and 11-9.
After lightning delays, RCHS Softball fell in two games this evening. Falcons played hard, but couldn't pull out a win.
A big thank you goes out to the RCHS band! Our Preschooler's were treated to a performance of "pat and clap" and We Will Rock You, enjoy listening to Moana, and clap along with the fight song while seeing all the instrument choices. The 4th graders were also treated to the "Band Petting Zoo" and were allowed to try out and view all instruments in preparation for 5th grade band next year. Great work Falcons!
***MS Track parents and patrons*** Due to lingering weather and thunderstorms in the area, MS track practice will stay the grade school and practice indoors today, Wednesday May 7th. Practice will conclude by 5:00, more details were sent out by Coach Gutsch. Stay Safe!

Yesterday Riley County Varsity Golf team competed at the Lakeside invitational.
The team got third place with a score of 336.
Individual finishes were:
Harvey Lister finished 2nd with a 71
JW Lister finished 5th with a 76
Riley County will host the Riley County Sand Greens Invitational on Thursday, May 9th at the Leonardville golf course. The Junior Varsity scramble will start at 10 am with the varsity round to follow.
The Riley County JV baseball team lost 4-14 to Perry.
Ag FFA/Horticulture class will be having a plant sale on May 7th from 1-6:30 p.m. in the greenhouse.
The RCHS Varsity Volleyball team was recognized by the Kansas Volleyball Association as a member of the All-Academic Team with a combined gpa of 3.89. Way to go Falcons!
The Riley County varsity baseball team went 1-1 against Perry with a 7-19 loss and a 20-6 win.
The Riley County varsity softball team went 1-1 against Perry with a 3-1 win and a 4-10 loss.
The Riley County JV Softball swept Perry tonight, 18-1 & 18-5.
We are excited to recognize Riley County’s Big East League All Academic recipients. We had 62 student athletes that met the criteria of 3.5 GPA or higher for the current school year and participation in 3 KSHSAA activities. RCHS Forensics competed Saturday, May 3rd at the State Championships and State Festival. Genayla Warnken received a 1 rating for her impromptu speech. The rest of the team competed well but did not place. Way to go Falcons!
