USD 378 Riley County Schools will be dismissing early today, Monday, January 8th due to inclement weather. Bus riders will be dismissed at 11:15am and all other students dismissed at 11:30am. Lunch is being served early before dismissal. All practices/activities are cancelled. RCCC is also closing at 11:30am. Stay warm!
RCHS Wrestling competed at Rossville today! Individual placers were: Makayla Truesdale 4th, Kaden Gutsch 3rd, Sawyer Bishop 4th, Brogan Schuh 5th, and Mikey Silva 6th. The Boys team finished in 8th overall. On Thursday the Falcons will travel to Minneapolis, matches start at 5pm!
RCHS Basketball hosted Rossville last night. JV and C Team Girls picked up a win. All other teams fell to the Dawgs. The Falcons will host St. Marys on Tuesday at 4:30!
Tonight is our first game of the JH boys season. Our Falcons are hosting the Clay Center Bengals, and our cheerleaders are in the zone tonight.

RCHS Basketball traveled to Beloit tonight. JV and Varsity Girls picked up a win. C Girls, C Boys, JV Boys and Varsity Boys all fall to the Trojans. The Falcons will host Rossville on January 5th at 4:30pm!

Congratulations to the RCHS Student of the Month for December, Sam Allen! Sam, a Junior, has a cumulative GPA of 4.0 and is currently a member of Pep Club, SADD, FBLA, NHS, and FCA. He is currently the Treasurer of FBLA and is a member of the Football and Baseball teams.
Here is what Ms. Netterman has to say about Sam: “Sam is always friendly and the first to say hello when he walks into Seminar each day. I am sad to not be his teacher this year because he is such a joy to have in class. He will always stand up for what is right and go out of his way to help others in need. He is truly a great role model and represents RCHS with pride.”

Today we were treated to our NCHS National Honors Society members helping build gingerbread houses with our 1st graders, and our RCMS Leadership class helping our Kindergarten build their gingerbread houses. Nice work Falcons!
