Riley County was recently notified by the Kansas Department of Education and the Kansas State Board of Education that our district was awarded a Bronze Star for the category of Academically Prepared for Postsecondary through the Kansans Can Star Awards Program for 2024.
The Kansans Can Star Recognition Program recognizes district success in the outcome measures Kansans said they value. These outcomes serve as the roadmap for Kansas to reach its vision for education – leading the world in the success of each student.
Riley County was 1 of only 16 districts that received a bronze award or higher (13 bronze, 1 silver, 2 gold) in Academically Prepared for Postsecondary. Congratulations and thanks goes out to all of our teachers, staff, and students for all of the dedication and hard work they put in every day!
